"Half Pint"
Survives Liver Shunt Operations!

"Thank's Doc, I feel much better now"!
Her name is E-2 or Registered name is Kaiserlich's Half Pint. She was not show quality but I kept her because she was always sick as a pup and I just couldn't sell her or even give her to anyone as I just wasn't certain what was wrong. The vet (or we) were treating the symptoms instead of the problem. We finally stopped the diarrhea and that's when the liver stunt really showed it's face, due to the fact that the poisons weren't filtering out the loose stools anymore. Anyway, to make a long story as short as I can (and that's not easy for me). Took her to the vet's who did many tests and said she needed a vet who specialized in this type of operation. So three worrisome trips up to the state of New Hampshire and back again. The last operation Dr. Shunk legated the artery 100% and she is doing very well.
I tell people that I call her zipper, as she's been opened up so many times. And once to be spayed. She has stainless steel staples permanently in her. Anyway.
