Welcome To Mega Bytes Computer Connection
Your Connection to IT Resources
Mega Bytes Computer Connection (MBCC) is working on becoming a 501 (c) 3 training not-for-profit corporation, which will help underserved communities to fully participate in Information Technology (IT). Our goal is to get a state of the art mobile Information Technology training center. Through partnerships with community-based organizations with Year Up, Oasis International, and Olney Street Baptist Church, we will build on other partnerships as we grow this corporation as we address the widening gap between the “information haves” and “information have-nots”.
We are aiming to bridge the digital divide in disadvantaged communities by empowering youth with social and computer skills; and providing adult residents with the resources necessary for long-term employment and economic security.
MBCC unites young people of all background, ages 10 to 18, giving them skills and opportunities to change the world. MBCC will also train adults who are looking to change careers to the IT field. MBCC will also be available to government agencies, and small to large corporations who need to improve their career potential.
MBCC presently are doing Computer Basic classes in the basement of Olney Street Baptist Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on January 27, 2009. We had three successful classes in November and December of 2008 at Olney Street Baptist Church. MBCC is also offering Computer Basic webinars which you can take online, which you can get more information when you click on courses.
